Bio:

Tabula RasaWish Pool’s latest CD, “Tabula Rasa”, is a departure from the more swampy, mid tempo modern rock of their last work, “Resurrected”. The band was injected with fresh ideas and fresh faces over the last year when the band reformed with three new members and only two of the original members.

The guys got right to work on using that new energy to create the hard hitting songs on the new album. Within a couple of months the bulk of the new music had already been written. The last few songs would come together as they continued to play shows around their local area.

“We debated heavily as to if we would scrap the old name entirely since this was really seen as a new project with a new focus. Ultimately we decided that since the name had some recognition we would keep it. We do still have a recognizable Wish Pool sound.”

The name of the new CD, “Tabula Rasa” is a testament to the new sound. The name is latin for “blank slate” which aptly describes the fresh focus of the band but also has a more esoteric meaning in relation to the song content.

Tabula Rasa is a compilation of hard hitting metal/hard rock and enduring ballads with topics ranging from politics to relationships. The music is explosive and has already been whipping up the crowds in their local region. Wish Pool is a hard working band with a solid set of well crafted songs. Wish Pool will be  peddling their wares across the North East this summer and pushing their edgy sound into every willing ear canal. Look to be thoroughly entertained!
